The commercial SmartDesign program is invaluable to specifying engineers for the preparation of project documents. The program provides boiler ratings, specification sheets and recommended near boiler piping diagrams for the V9 Series and V11 Series products. The boiler ratings will help determine the correct boiler type and size for each specific application. The product specification sheets are in Word format and facilitate the generation of job
requirements. The drawings are in AutoCAD format with plan, elevation and isometric views and will assist in preparing boiler room layouts. All of these tools will simplify the development of project documents.
The SmartDesign program is a revision from the original SmartSpec program and the Burnham Commercial Cast Iron Products CD introduced two years ago. The SmartDesign includes information pertaining to the V9 Series and
V11 Series forced draft boiler lines. The program will be expanded in the next few weeks to include the same information about the Series 5B and Series 8B atmospheric boilers.
